About us
The Carolingian Guild of Musicians and Jongleurs is a chartered
guild of the Barony of
Carolingia, the Boston-area branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
The purpose of the Guild is to encourage and nuture pre-17th century
ensemble music in the Barony and the SCA at large.
The Guild runs two ensembles, the Waytes
and the Quire.
The Waytes are instrumental ensemble functioning primarily as a
Renaissance dance band. The Quire is an a capella vocal consort which
presents concert music from throughout our period.
